I'll be in Seoul both Friday and Saturday this weekend. I'm always happy to meet new friends in the salsa community especially if they're interested in casino style and ruedca. So, if you'd like, gimme a call and let me know where you'll be.
Saturday I'll be over at Son Salsa Club in Gangnam. One of my Korean lady friends is in a salsa social group that's doing a performance there and I haven't been there in a while anyway so......I figured I'd do it this weekend.
Son is a nice club. Not too big but big enough and the people over there seem to be very nice and friendly. As of this particular moment I don't know exactly how to get there but I believe there is a map on Yvette's excellent site, http://www.salsainkorea.com site.
Also, I apologize for not getting any videos up from last Saturday great dance at Top Salsa club in Apgujeong which featured Korea's own great salsa band Orquestra Esencia. I'll try to get'em up today. I recently bought a new video editing program, Roxio Media Creator 10, which supposedly makes it easy to upload to YouTube. I just haven't dug into the program yet to find out how to do it.
On another note, last night I was reviewing some of my Salsa Lovers instruction DVDs. Man! There's a lot of good stuff in there and I really look forward to sharing that with our Korea Carruseles group in 08.
If you can salsa even a little, I'd invite you to join our Meetup group, http://salsa.meetup.com/343/, and enjoy the fun of rueda style dancing. I call it the 'ultimate social dance' because it really is. You just have to invest a little time in learning some unique basics and then it's all fun from there on out.
Gimme a call if you have any questions.
