Well, I'd never heard of her either but apparently she's got a lot of talent.......and a lot of courage.
Elaha Soroor has a lot of talent because she's currently the top singing diva in, of all places.........Afganistan. That's not an easy thing to do in Afganistan because, as you know, it's a Moslem country.
She's been disowned by her family and has even received numerous death threats because of her decision to pursue an entertainment career. That just isn't done in fundamentalist Moslem countries.
But if you look at this series of videos you can't escape the conclusion that she's indeed very talented. And pretty too.
I saw her mentioned on my Yahoo News page. I think you'll like it. I found the videos on YouTube and for some strange reason they keep on going from one to the next without having to select them. I don't know.........maybe that's one of YouTube's new tricks.
