Ev-and-erybody knows who Google is. I never actually read the story of how they got started but I seem to remember hearing it was a couple of guys....etc., etc., etc.
Certainly America has been known in the past for being the home of entrepreneurism and most people enjoy hearing stories about innovative and unique startups. I know I do myself. But do organizations ever change in character?
I'm thinking they do. That's why I titled this post the way I did. I doubt that any of you, my loyal readers, will be aware of it but I sad to tell you that amongst the internet marketing community Google has been actually like an asshole lately.
Specifically, one of the communities I'm a member of has had several instances of Google shutting down their blogs andor AdSense accounts. And to add insult to injury....I read just today, on Google, that almost nobody gets any kind of courterous reply or satisfactory resolution when they try to find out why Google did such-and-such.
Example: Somebody gets their AdSense account shut down, sends an email to Google AdSense team and all they get back is some meaningless mumbo-jumbo for that-big-company.
Do you think Google sends letters like that to their really big, well known corporate clients?
I kinda doubt it.
Another example....I know a very well known internet marketer who just recently sent out a special on a product discussing how FaceBook ads were a very cost effective alternative to Google Ad Words.
It's a real shame. Is Google a friend of the little guy still? I'm not so sure. Alex Jones talks a lot about Google and how tight they are with government and 'big business'. That tight relationship between government and bis business is called fascism. It sounds like Alex was right. You sure wouldn't get that kind of lousey service from a mom-and-pop store in middle America.
