Oftentimes in discussions around internet marketing the question, "Can I make any money off a search term or keyword with low search volume?" comes up. I used to go along with the usual response of, "No...because there's not enough demand there."
I've changed my thinking on that.
I'm reading a free report right now by a fellow named Russell Smitheram. The report is specifically about making money as an Amazon affiliate. It's only a few pages long and I haven't even finished reading it yet but something I just read there I thought was good enough to share with you.
Russell said, "I can make sales from key word search counts as low as 10 a month. Why? Because (in the case of names of Amazon products) those people (who entered the search terms) are extremely likely to be serious buyer."
I paraphrased that a little bit.
But Russells point is that all he has to do is make sure that those few people who are entering those search terms do find his site first because they are serious buyers. That's the subject of his report...how to make sure they find your site first.
I thought that was a very astute point for him to make. And it does make all the sense in the world.
Don't you think?
