Amazon just made an announcement that is probably the biggest, farthest reaching, most significant marketing move to hit the net in at least a year if not the decade.  I'll write more on this later today.  Til then, read this article and see if you see what I see.  More later.

I think it's safe to say that most of my US based readers have at least heard of of the Rand Corporation.  Most of you probably think it's just another think tank.  And some of you might even think it's an old company that used to make business machines.

That pretty much describes, i.e. the later, what I thought about it.  I think I vaguely in a far corner of my mind remembered that Robert McNamara, Secretary of Defense during the Johnson presidency, was at one time associated with it.

But this video interview with Alex Abella will explain to you why we have all been effected more by the Rand Corporation than we'll probably ever realize.  That's why he says, "We're all the bastard childred of the Rand Corporation."

 

Dying birds, fish and other animals....why?

What if you went out to play pool with a friend some afternoon and it turned out to be a really unusual game.  I mean.....your buddy was making all kinds of weird shots that nobody would ever have predicted and really couldn't explain even though you saw it with your own eyes?

You might kinda wonder what was going on right?

And what if somebody walked up to you and handed you a letter, or a book or whatever that was written thousands of years ago and predicted every shot your friend made?

You'd really feel like you'd crossed over into another dimension, wouldn't you?

Well, my friends.....that's what's so remarkable (and exciting) about understanding Bible prophecy.  It's all right there....in the Bible.  Things are happening now that were very cleary, very obviously, with zero ambiguity predicted thousands of years ago in scripture.

Irwin Schiff was right

One of the things that Irwin Schiff you to always point out was that Congress really had no incentive, in fact they had a dis-incentive, to reign in the IRS. 

Why?

Because it was the IRS that gave them, Congress, the money they needed to buy constituientcies like they do.  Or to put it another way, the IRS funds the Congress'es toys.

The new Fascist Dynamic Duo?

Pretty slick title, eh?

Fact, is, it wasn't that long ago that I learned the true meaning of the word, "Fascist". 

'Fascist' refers to a partnership between government and industry.  WWII Italy under Mussolini was an example of that.  And our government is moving more and more that way.

What I'm referring to here is a cozy little, partnership between the Feds and the big internet Numero Uno, internet search giant Google.  We're starting to hear more and more about that.

I just read this article in Drudge Report:

Which prompted me to 'do a Google' to find out more about this company Attensity that they mentioned.  And I got this:

I thought it was interesting because I'm old enough to remember a time when the idea that somebody could burst into your house and arrest you for something that some mathematical formula says you're going to do was only the stuff of science fiction novels.  But we're pretty much at the point where it could happen today in numberous countries.

But isn't it pretty obvious that (if you pay attention to this stuff and do a little extrapolation yourself) that that's not the way our government is heading now.  Almost gone are the days when men and women lived their own lives and were free to make their own connections free of outside influences on an individual bases.

And while I'm thinking about it, doesn't this add just more credibility to what Alex Jones and so many other personal freedom advocates have been saying for some time now....i.e. that things like The Patriot Act were meant to controll us.....not Al Qaeda.  It certainly does to me.

Well...what else is new, eh?

Think it's over yet in the Gulf?

This isn't an issue I follow closely but I do realize it's serious. I seem to remember it was sorta a topic of discussion not too longer ago but you hardly hear much about it lately, do you? I don't see how anybody could look at conclusive evidence like this and begrudge those good people in Arizona (or anywhere else with a similar problem) from trying to protect their communities like they are. I darn sure know I wouldn't want to live in this are right now. It's just not safe. Such a shame too because it's such a beautiful area. And we let foreigners take it from us and we let our own government 'servants' sit on their ass and do nothing about it and tell us we can't do the job ourselves.

News for Christians

I haven't said much about it for a long time but, when asked or when the subject comes up, I've never minded saying that I am a Christian.  I don't make a big deal about it.  It's just part of what I am.  Whether anybody else likes it or believes it is of little consequence to me.

Having said that, I'd like to share with those of you who might have an interest a particular URL and also a source of information that I know those of you who also are Christians will find very interesting.

But first, a little background:

When I got 'born again' back around 1981 or so, 'end times events' and 'end time prophecy' was a pretty big deal and popular subject among 'us'.....especially amongst Evangelicals like my crowd was.  I always found it very interesting, if for no other reason, for the historical aspects of it.  I mean, the idea that the Bible, written many, many, many years ago could so accurately foretell today's events as it does......to me that was very stimulating.

In recent years however, since I've been geographically removed from the pastor and church in Galveston, TX., that I liked so much, I actually haven't been going to any particular church on a regular basis.  But.........I'm still 'in the faith' and I'm still interested learning more about it and.....I know Jesus is coming back soon.

I recently had a chance to meet a guy, over the internet and through a mutual acquaintance, named Frank Dimora.  He is one of the most knowledgeable guys I've ever meet on the Bible and especially end-times events.  And what I've learned from him and his website lately about recent current events is very exciting.  If you're a Christian you'll probably feel the same way.

Here's a link to his website.  He does it almost every day and each day's edition, in the week or so I've been reading it, is very interesting.  What captivated me about today's edition especially though was some stuff that's relevant to what's going on now down in the Gulf.......yeah.  The oil thing.

What would you say if I told you that it appears to be 'raining oil' in certain areas of Southern Louisiana now?  Pretty weird, right?

Well.....you won't think so when you see the video on this page.

And also, do you remember what they did to the people in New Orleans in the aftermath of Hurricane Katrina?  I'm referring to the fact that they were herded into the Superdome and kept there like animals or criminals for "X" number of days.  And the National Guard and local police went around actually taking legally/Constitutionally owned weapons away from law-abiding citizens......remember that?

Remember the government's justification for doing that and the management instrument they used to do it (i.e. other than the National Guard, I mean)? 

The government said they were doing it to 'maintain law and order' and to protect the populace, right?

Well, what if I told you that the government is apparently making plans to forcibly evacuate large segments of local populations of the US Gulf Coast, all the way from Corpus Christi to Key West, right now?  You'd find that hard to believe, wouldn't you?

And last but not least, have you ever heard of water burning?

No, I never had either.  But, as a scientist explains in another of the videos on this 'linked to' page, methane can make water do just that.  And this same scientist describes a very plausible scenario for today's time wherein our oceans might again literally explode.....from methane. 

Yeah....it's weird to say the least.  And maybe to you even scary.  But to those of us who know something about end-times prophecy and end-time events as described in the Bible......it's all written right there.  And, as Frank explains, it's happening in our lifetime...now...today.

Praise the Lord.  He is coming.  I think...real soon.

Further evidence that our government is 'broke'

You want more evidence that our government is totally inept, stupid, and incapable of doing anything right?

Well, notwithstanding the fact that I just read that Russia has a new Sukhoi fighter, the TL 50 I think it is, which is superior to our Raptor and costs one third as much to manufacture, here's some news from the 'home front'.

You'd think, with the many thousands of jobs at stake (not to mention the ecological aspects of it all) due to the Gulf/BP oil disaster we're seeing right now, that there would be an official policy of 'balls-to-the-wall', "let's get it fixed", and "do it yesterday" wouldn't you?

Well.....Uncle Sam's (or I should say "Uncle Barak") got his crooked finger in it so.....guess what happened when a large group of oil skimming barges turned up down in Louisiana to start getting rid of some of that oil on/in the water?

First of all, lemme preface by saying that according what I read, these barges do do some good.  Their process does work.  You'd think that every little bit off or out of the water would be highly valued wouldn't you?

But noooooooo........our braave Coast Guard has told the barges to 'cease and desist'.  You know why?

Because they apparently don't have the right f------ fire extinguishers!

Yeah......because of some stupid regulation about fire extinguishers.  Is that totally stupid or what?

I almost couldn't believe it when I read that.  And you know what? 

That kind of stupidity starts at the top.  Obama can't blame that on Bush.

That jerk-wad we've got in the Oval Orifice should have made it absolutely clear that anything and everything is to be expedited to get this problem mitigated as much and as soon as possible.

I don't think it's all the Coast Guard's fault.  What I suspect is that somewhere in the chain of command you've got some people who are more concerned about covering their ass than getting the job done. 

If this isn't just one more reason why there needs to be a new Republic of Texas or Gulf States Confederation or whatever else you'd want to call it.....I don't know what is.  We don't have a properly functioning national government anymore.

And Bobby Jindal, the very popular Governor of the State of Louisiana said that every time he calls the Caost Guard to find out what they're doing about getting these barges properly inspected, or whatever it is that's hanging them up, he gets a different story from a different person.

I think that those people in Washington really don't give a rat's ass....because....the worse things get along the Gulf Coast, the more they think that the people down there will want them(i.e. the feds) to take control (and start spending more money that we don't have). 

God help us if we ever get in another war!  We're doomed.

Dance on TV.......Google TV......ready?

It's been several months since I've mentioned it but you remember how I've always said that there'll come a time when you'll be able to see good salsa performers and dance teams on TV?  And I said that you good performers and good salsa teams out there ought to focus on putting your 'productions' and routines on YouTube and other places?

Well..........guess who's getting into the TV business now?

Yeah........Google.  Are you ready for prime time?
