Can there be any doubt.....Jesus is coming?

I know there's a substantial portion of my readers who think I'm 'over the edge' in posting stuff about The Lord and Bible prophecy and the End Times and all that stuff.  That's fine with me.  Because I suspect there's also at least a few of my readers who are themselves 'on the edge' about the events unfolding before us today and who would like to have a better understanding.

It's been some time now that on a daily basis  I look on Drudge report and a few other news sources I use specifically to connect the dots between Bible prophecy (which I happen to know a lot about) and the current events of the day.

The Bible says tells of the signs of the End Times coming upon us like birth pains of a mother in labor.  I've never been married and of course I've never had a baby so I don't know what that's like from personal experience.  But I've read about and I think I know all I need to know to understand what Jesus meant when He described how these series of cataclysmic, interconnected events would increase in frequency and severity in the years and months just prior to His return for His Church.

With what I'm seeing just in these last few day, I don't see how any rational person can doubt that something really unusual is going on.  I'd like to highlight on just a few of such events in this post.

If we take care.....do 'they' make any difference?

Simom Black, cracker-jack professional expat owner and author of www.sovereignman.com, has another interesting post out today.  He touches on several subjects but in the context of talking about the current situation over in Egypt, he says this:

I suggested early last month that this would be the year for Mubarak and other aging autocrats to finally croak or get kicked out. I really admire Egyptians’ dedication vacating this thug from office… but at the end of the day, they are only going to trade one crook for another. These protests are underpinned by the erroneous belief that government is capable of providing solutions, and if they can just get the ‘right’ government in place, things will start ginning. This is the same attitude around the world– it’s all about getting the ‘right’ people into office, whether by ‘free and fair’ election, by protest, or by force. What people just about always find out a few years later is that the new guy is just as bad as the old guy… and that the more things change, the more they stay the same. There’s right and wrong in this world… and standing against Mubarak is clearly right. But we all have a finite about of time, energy, and financial means at our disposal, and directing those resources towards political change, while just, generates a very low return and comes at a steep opportunity cost. I would argue that resources are better spent solving problems at the individual and community level, not trying to get one set of criminals to relinquish control to another set of criminals.

I don't know if he consciously intended to say it but what I read between the lines is that if more people took advantage of the options that are still legal to protect their money, their sovereignty, their purchasing power, etc., maybe it wouldn't make any difference what politicians do.  In many cases we'd be doing the same things those hypocritical assholes are doing anyway.  So what could 'they' do about it?

I was talking to a very successful business person I know back in the US recently and I got impression that although they did agree that things were not all peaches and creme socio-politically-economically back in the US they still were living under the US flag in terms of where they banked, etc.

As Simon suggests continuously, now is a perfect example of a time when a person out to have a second bank account outside the US, and a second passport, and have their business officially residing offshore....etc., etc., a la 'SovereignMan'.

The Iran Problem.....a runaway train with no 'reverse' gear

The problem with the radical regime in Iran and their plainly declared goal of not only the eradication of Israel but also the initiation of a global cataclysm that brings "the 12th Imam" out of hiding (he's in a 'well' somewhere but they just don't know which well) to establish a new 'Caliphate' is one that won't go away.

In my opinion, of all the problems facing the US today Iran is the most serious.  The reason they're the most serious is because they're the ones with the most leverage to do harm.  Iran is dangerous not only to the US but also the rest of the world...although the rest of the world seems to either (a) not realize it or (b) somehow think that, as usual, the US cavalry with come riding in at the last minute to save the day.

Why do I say it has no reverse gear?

Because I really don't think any there's any way to prevent it from becoming a bigger problem and being 'played out' to one of two or three possible conclusions....none of which are good.  Any way you look at it....we're all gonna suffer........unless........?

Yasi, Queensland, Sugar and YOU

What's the connection between Cyclone Yasi that just hit Australia (in Queensland State), Sugar and You (and me?).

The connection is money.  Did you know that Queensland produces about 10% of the world's sugar?

Yeah, it does. 

I don't think the specific damage figures are out yet but you can bet it's going to be huge.  Acording the the article I'm linking here, world sugar and sugar futures prices were already going up dramatically because of the previous recent problems with flooding in Queensland.  Now they're undoubtedly going to go even higher.

Where does it effect you and me?

In our pocketbook, that's where.  More specifically...in our food budget.

Not only is raw sugar a product that people buy and use every day but sugar is also a vital component of a lot more of our other food items than you probably realize.

Politicians....read between the lines

I just got up and as I look at Yahoo News on my home page I notice that one of the featured news items is a picture of Hosni Mubarak and the caption that he announced he 'won't run again' and that he would not step down but rather would work the rest of his term to insure an orderly transfer of power. 

And you know what the first thought came to my mind was?

"What about the greivances of the people, asshole!"

That's right.  His true colors and agenda are right there in plain english in the headline.  He just told the people that he cared for about the preservation of POWER than anything else.  He told the PEOPLE that the preservation and transer of the POWER that him and his cronies have had for years is going to be his top priority for the next however many months.

Sometime people tell you the real truth even when they don't mean to.  I honestly don't know him, i.e. Mubarak, but I somehow can't seriously doubt that he's been around long enough and he's probably got a lot of skeletons in his closet.   He's not any better, or worse, than 99% of our politicians and therein lies the major problem of freedom loving people the world over today.  We're all infested with these cockroaches.....the professional politicians.

But I'll tell you what else I suspect.  There's a bigger, grander, higher stakes plan at play here.   And a bigger goal at stake.  We need to constantly ask ourselves, 'OK, if this happens...what else will happen.?' 

Life is very similar to backgammon.  The statistics don't change because.....people don't change.   These global power elite understand that...they understand us...perhaps better even than we do.  And they're happy with that arrangement.

Those headlines....aren't that indicative of the typical reaction of most governmens to the will of the people?  I think it is. 

I will also comment that I don't know what the hell 'they' (i.e. the government) thinks a couple of jets flying around in the sky is supposed to do.  It's like thinking that you're going to frighten away an ant colony by waving a can of Raid over a few ants crawling around on the surface. 

Jeeeez!  It's no wonder the Israelis kicked their ass several years ago!

But...you know what?

When I see stuff like this happening (especially lately) it always makes me suspicious of what the real cause is.  I wouldn't be surprised if there's some other less obvious but more devious interests pulling the strings here.

I hope Jesus comes real soon because the world is just plain ol' fucked up.  This movie you're looking at right could very well be playing at a theater near you sooner than you realize.

More information on the cause of Philippine poverty

I'll bet those of you who know that the Philippines has a lot of people living below the poverty level (according to this linked article....about 70%!)....I'll bet you didn't know that as recently as the 80'2 they were a net exporter of rice and some other stuff and that they were cosidered on of the most prosperous counties in SE Asia.

I didn't know that.  But this article, linked by text below, squarely discusses the root cause of poverty in the Philippines.  It's pure and simple political corruption.

Ya know....watching all the stuff going on over in Egypt lately...it makes one wonder why something like that couldn't happen in other countries.  Like maybe the Philippines.

Maybe it could.  I don't know. 

I do remember reading some positive statistics about positive growth of the GDP, or GNP, in the Philippines lately.  If so, that's a good thing because it seems to me the Philippines has so much potential for being a happy, prosperous, enjoyable and English speaking oasis in SE Asia.  Maybe even moreso than Singapore.

I think it's safe to say that most of my US based readers have at least heard of of the Rand Corporation.  Most of you probably think it's just another think tank.  And some of you might even think it's an old company that used to make business machines.

That pretty much describes, i.e. the later, what I thought about it.  I think I vaguely in a far corner of my mind remembered that Robert McNamara, Secretary of Defense during the Johnson presidency, was at one time associated with it.

But this video interview with Alex Abella will explain to you why we have all been effected more by the Rand Corporation than we'll probably ever realize.  That's why he says, "We're all the bastard childred of the Rand Corporation."

RISE OF RED DRAGON: CHINA SHAPES WORLD

I just saw this on Druge Report.

Excuse me but is Mr. "Is-He-Or-Is-He-Not" actually bowing to the leader of a country that harvests organs from criminals, uses slave labor in prisons,  mandates one child per family, openly jails dissidents and restricts internet freedom?

Looks that way to me.

And this clown thinks he's got a chance of getting reelected?

Like hell!

Unless...... him and his crowd pull some sort of false flag stunt similar the Pearl Harbor, 911, Gulf of Tonkin, Iraq's WMD's, and other well know preservation-of-power stunts of governments and politicians of the 20th century.

He really loves to bow to foreigners, doesn't he? 

Remember when he bowed to the leader of Saudi Arabia, the country commonly known to be a major financier of Anti-American terrorists?

Is a leader who kisses the asses of the captains of the enemy worthy of being the leader of our team?

I think not.

You people who wanted 'real change'......boy!  You got it!  The old America is dead and you let him administer the fatal blow.

Anybody who's read Wanderingsalsero knows that I'm  a born-again Christian and that I'm interested in End Time prophecy.  So it won't be any surprise that I find this news very interesting.  It also fits in with my distrust of big government and politicians in general.
